Who provides the service
The service is provided by SmartSites SL, tax ID B81546372, Carrer d'Aribau, 25, 08172 Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), España.
What you are buying, and what you are not
You are buying a plain-language explanation of the medical reports and images you upload, generated by an artificial intelligence system.
You are not buying a diagnosis, a second medical opinion, or a review by a healthcare professional. ExplainMyScan is not a medical device and does not replace your doctor. The report you receive is informational material to help you understand your documents and prepare for your appointment.
We do not guarantee that the explanation captures everything relevant in your study or that it is free of errors. Decisions about your health are made by a professional.
Prices and billing
- Trial: €0.50 gives 24 hours of access and includes one analysis.
- Subscription: €39.99 per month, with up to 20 analyses included.
- Additional analyses: €5.00 each once the included ones are used up.
Prices include applicable taxes. When the trial ends, and unless you cancel first, it becomes a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never have access to your card details.
Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep access until then and are not charged again.
Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have fourteen calendar days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason.
However, when you request your first analysis you expressly ask for the service to begin immediately and acknowledge that, once the report has been delivered, you lose the right of withdrawal over that content, in line with Article 103(m) of the Spanish consumer protection act and Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
If you subscribed and never requested an analysis, write to us and we will refund you.
If something goes wrong
If an analysis fails to complete because of a fault on our side, you are not charged; if it had already been charged as an additional analysis, it is refunded.

Dispute resolution
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
