From medical jargon to plain language

You upload your study, we explain what it actually says. In four steps and without medical vocabulary.

Explain my study

This is the change

MRI

What your report says

Early spondylarthrosis at L4-L5 with no radicular compromise.

What it means

Mild wear between two vertebrae in your lower back, the kind that comes with age. It is not pressing on any nerve.

Blood test

What your report says

Ferritin 12 ng/mL (ref. 15–150). Haemoglobin 11.2 g/dL.

What it means

Your iron stores are just below the minimum and your haemoglobin is slightly low. Together, that is the usual picture of iron-deficiency anaemia.

Chest X-ray

What your report says

No signs of consolidation or pleural effusion. Cardiothoracic index within limits.

What it means

No pneumonia and no fluid around the lungs. Your heart is a normal size for your chest.

Illustrative examples. Your explanation is written from your own report and your own question.

Four steps

  1. Upload your study

An image, a PDF, a DICOM file or the whole ZIP from the hospital. Several files are fine.

  2. Tell us what worries you

One line is enough. That question is what the explanation is built around.

  3. We read it

Your age, sex and context are used to read the values against the right reference ranges.

  4. You get your explanation

In your language, in a few minutes, saved in your dashboard to reread whenever you need.

What your explanation contains

What this is not

  • It is not a diagnosis. It explains what is written, it does not decide what you have.
  • It does not replace your doctor. It prepares you for the conversation, it does not stand in for it.
  • It does not recommend treatment, medication or whether to have surgery.

Your files

  • The free DICOM tools never upload anything: they run inside your browser.
  • In the analysis you choose which files to attach. Nothing is sent until you confirm.
  • You can delete your studies from your dashboard whenever you want.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of files can I send?

Photos of a printed report, PDFs, DICOM images from a CD or a hospital portal, and Word documents. If your study came as a ZIP, you can upload it as it is.

How long does it take?

Usually a few minutes. You do not need to wait on the page: the explanation stays in your dashboard.

Do I need to understand anything technical?

No. Upload the file and write what worries you in your own words. Everything else is on us.

Can I use it for someone else’s report?

Yes, as long as that person is aware. The patient details you fill in are what let us read the values correctly.
